I have also lost a work unit which gaves errors(this was before the SMP client when public beta) However I have one sitting on my computer at home finished, I just found out how to upload it. I had a configuration thing set wrong. And I will have another one done by the end of today. :) I will catch up pretty fast with your current output. ;)

So when are you planning on doing this? Don't see anywhere in the top 100 :p
and my G5 gets a bit of a rest instead of folding 24/7. It uses a lot of power and am trying to cut down my electric bill.

This cannot be legit. $2200 for a 17" PB and a 23" display? That's gotta be below cost.

One sure test is to ask them to use escrow with a service of YOUR choice. (escrow.com maybe?) Any legit seller would understand why you felt this was necessary. the ones who are trying to scam you will have a million excuses why this will not work ("it's against company policy," "I need the money fast," "I can only use this one certain escrow service...")

let me repeat, this CANNOT be legit. Only the 17" PB for that price has gotta be close to what wholesellers pay, if not lower. Plus you get a $2000 display for free? If it were a legit seller they could easily unload the whole package for twice that and have a very happy customer.

trainguy77Nov 15, 11:00 PMJust a quick question... I downloaded the SMP Intel version for my MacBook Pro, but I can't figure out how to pause it! Last night I did a ctrl-c (quit) and it closed out... but this morning it started all over! What on earth is the "pause" command?

(yes I know I don't need to stop it for most things, but I like to at night and while I study because of the extra noise it creates.)

Well since its beta there is bound to be problems. For example in the last version (non-public beta) there was problems with check points BIG problems so the current version does not have them, so i you stop it, it will start over. Of coarse this will be fixed in time. Also another bug if you disable airport folding stops......

The amazon.com page you linked to did not have any meaningful specs. They only list the kinds of interface and give no performance numbers. So this could be working just fine but only it's a slow drive.

Also when people say to record to an external they mean only your data goes there. keep all thos system files on the system drive

DaglessMar 26, 08:30 PMI'm after 1 or 2 more people to add to my army of 4 other Beta testers for a game I'm working on.
There are a few requirements-

1) A PC and/or bootcamp. The beta is tied to individual systems too, so not jumping from system to system! A good controller is recommended. I'm using an Xbox 360 wired controller to dev it, all 4 face buttons, the start button and 2 shoulder buttons are in use so you'd either need something similar or you can always use a keyboard.
2) A softspot to 2D games. This may be ported to the PSP or DS, unlikely for big screened consoles. so it's 2D. In the style of Super Metroid and co. Infact it plays more like an exploration game at the beginning so theres little combat. Very retro gameplay, RPG levelling up system. That sort of thing really.
3) Commitment. It's going to be a long project with updates coming out at irregular times. But you will be expected to play through, give comments on my forum etc.

The game itself is very much in its infancy, estimated release is late 2007 and is unpaid, but full term beta testers will get free copies of the game... if you're not sick of it by this stage :p
