It might as well get corrupted during all the copying back and forth you are suggesting. Bits can be flipped and you probably don't utilize a filesystem that can secure you against bit-rot for maximum data integrity.

rockyroad55May 5, 11:36 PMI'd say go with the 13". You can use the extra cash to put in a SSD and more RAM. Makes the computer EXTREMELY fast when opening up applications. It doesn't sound like you are doing anything graphics heavy unless when it comes to your physics work.

Also, you could use the money to get a cinema display off craigslist or something so when you come home, you can attach it to the big boy. :)

I'm majoring in marketing btw and I don't see the difference to econ to be that much. But, physics is something else. Ask someone on College Confidential for help with that!

I installed windows 7 sp1 64 bit on my 27" iMac i3 today. Then I updated to boot camp 3.2 and i have the following problems:
-no aero (ati hd isn't recognized, can't go higher than 1920x1440 resolution). I even installed latest drivers from ATI's website
-no sound
-bluetooth pairing was gone, couldn't use mouse and keyboard. I've managed to solve this

Can someone help me to solve these problems (specially the ati driver problem because that resolutions isn't watchable and graphics performance isn't what it should be).

So I'm guessing its just web-masters not wanting their visters to have to go and download the quicktime plug-in just to use the service, it would just be easyer for the site to use WMP and be done w/ 95% the computer population.

LoopieApr 28, 10:32 AMI have an Emac that turns on, but doesn't start properly; the screen stays black and the fan is working. It used to beep/flash a light a couple of times to indicate what was wrong (unfortunately I don't remember how many times, but sort of remember looking up what it meant - I think it was a motherboard or CPU issue), but the beeping/flashing and chiming stopped.

Has anyone dealt with a similar issue and what was wrong with your Emac?

One thing that bothers me is that this game is rated for age as 3+ and one of the mentors is described as "Smart and Sexy" Am I being a bit too much of a prude here? I dunno.
