zedsdeadMar 19, 06:06 AMHow does the Mac Mini handle itself when being used directly with a large TV?

I have a 1080p TV, 46" and plan to use it as a computer to show people how to use iPhoto and iMovie and such. I had my MacBook Air hooked up, and it worked fine as a second monitor but there was minor lag at times. When the Air was hooked up to my Apple 24" LED there is no lag at all so I was wondering if the screen size has anything to do with it.

Does the Mini handle this situation well? I am currently waiting for the refresh, but wanted some opinions in case this has been an issue or not.

Yes I do! :D

1. Go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/. Then scroll down to iPhone / iPod touch / iPad / Apple TV and then click the arrow to scroll down and select your device and firmware. Then click download and save it to your desktop or downloads folder.

2. Go to http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/ and on the right you can download TinyUmbrella according to your operating system. Save this to desktop or downloads folder.

3. Go to http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/products/view/ireb.snow and download iREB RC4 according to your operating system and unzip the file to your desktop.

4. Once all downloads are complete plug in your device and run iREB. Then choose your device, and follow the instructions to get into PWNED DFU mode. Then open TinyUmbrella and click on Start TSS Server. These programs will bypass a few errors in iTunes when you are downgrading.

Thx!The problem isn't necessarily a mac driver, but Apple's Acceleration Curve. It works perfectly with Apple Mice, but not so much with other's. Now assuming that your issue is tracking issue and not customizable buttons, then my solution will work for you. Download USB overdrive and install it. If I remember correctly, you will have to restart your mac after installation. Now their is a free and a paid version, the free will work just fine. After installation, you can change the settings under system preferences -> USB Overdrive.

In the picture below, you will see two sliders. I find it helpful to have the top slider near the far right, and the bottom slider near the far left. I believe I also set the mouse speed (found in the normal mouse settings) around the middle, but you can set it anywhere.

As far as mice with mac drivers, I recently purchased the Logitech wireless m510. I am normally picky when it come to mice, but I do enjoy using it. After installing the logitech driver and uninstalling USB Overdrive, the mice works nicely. I've only had it for a few days, but I love it.

crazzyeddieNov 15, 07:47 PMJust a quick question... I downloaded the SMP Intel version for my MacBook Pro, but I can't figure out how to pause it! Last night I did a ctrl-c (quit) and it closed out... but this morning it started all over! What on earth is the "pause" command?

(yes I know I don't need to stop it for most things, but I like to at night and while I study because of the extra noise it creates.)

DSi = 13 hour battery life, less than 1/2 price

3DS may be more powerful, but 2.5-3 hour battery life & twice the price to do what?

play a game designed for the ds. It seems like a poor trade off.

QuantumLo0pApr 26, 02:45 PM....It would be best to wait until this Summer for the next OS upgrade to come out (10.7 aka Lion) otherwise you'll be looking at an OS upgrade cost to you in the future.

Perhaps Lion will cost relatively little, such as the Snow Leopard upgrade.
