We've just learned that Apple has ordered the app developer of a Web browser for iPhones and iPads to disable vital functionalities in the two devices. The gatekeepers at the iTunes store, which sell the highly-rated German browser iCab, ordered it to disable all Javascript code in iPads and iPhones.

Terribly, terribly deceptive summary. Apple requested they remove JavaScript ADDONS, not remove JavaScript functionality which is still carried out through WebKit.

Still stupid though. Didn't realize iCab had this functionality. Would be cool for Javascript injection xD

DewGuy1999Apr 29, 07:46 AMAs someone else mentioned, try running Disk Utility Repair Disk off of your install disc (while booted off it). Or, just reformat (which will erase the contents). The correct format would be "Mac OS Extended". That should give you a clean slate, provided there are no hardware issues (with the drive, in particular). Memory problems would show with different symptoms.

If those are the original discs, it should work. Though, from what I can find on the earliest model (desk lamp style), the minimum it shipped with was 10.1.3. If it was any later model, it should have shipped with 10.2. Original discs should be grey.

10.4, Tiger, should work just fine on that model. I used to run it on a slower 667MHz PowerBook.

According to EveryMac.com Apple iMac G4/700 (Flat Panel) Specs (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/stats/imac_700_fp.html) shipped with 9.2.2 & X 10.1.2. Since we haven't been given any more info than it's a G4 iMac it's kind of hard to make specific recommendations.

Sorry man I'm not very impressed, it's clean and simple yes, but the darkish coloured text on the blue box doesn't really have alot of contrast, sure you can read it but it certanly doesn't jump out at you. Plus I've never been a big fan of super minimalist design, add some gradiants!

The text colour needs to be adjusted a bit but here's the direction I'd take it.

They sell factory original Apple/Samsung RAM

If you want to add a total 1 GB you need to purchase
a pair of 512 sticks.

RAM has gotten so affordable, you might want to hold off till you can afford a pair of 1 GB sticks
and ramp that puppy up another 2GB.

I drove by the Leawood Apple Store, but opted for BestBuy at 119th & Metcalf. I was number 19 in line and got exactly what I wanted. White 64 GB WiFi 3G AT&T.

I may go by the Apple Store and try to get a Red Leather Cover.

Next, what is the euid of the process called by system ? If not run as root, does the user have permissions to write to $PWD ?

Putting Macromedia to one side... what beef do you have with Adobe?
Any apps in particular? And where does the past come into it?

Wes1731Jul 9, 10:41 PMi don't think the rogers video stores will have the phones. if i go, i will probably be going to the rogers store at 2599 pembina highway, since it's fairly close to my place. i don't think i'll be getting the phone since i am only 14 and have about $20 right now, but i'm gonna see if i can line up for the free breakfast! :D

EDIT: woops. the store i was going to go to is not participating in the launch, according to rogers.com. so i'll be going to the one at 1225 St Mary's Road if i end up going.

I hope Apple adds support this in a future Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update.

I own that model-and currently have to use Silkypix to work with the RAW files from the camera.
